About Us

Mission

To transform the lives of women and children ensnared in domestic abuse, sexual exploitation and human trafficking. Our goal is to support them in their journey toward healing, offering spiritual, emotional, and practical guidance, so they can live a life of freedom and have a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Vision

To establish a safe haven for the most vulnerable survivors of abuse, human trafficking, and all forms of exploitation and persecution, providing them with the tools to rebuild their lives in a nurturing and Christ-centered environment.

Our Approach

We take a holistic approach, creating a safe and supportive community where survivors can heal together. With the guidance of qualified professionals, they will develop new skills and gain independence, learning to live a life free from abuse and harm. Through mentorship, counseling, and spiritual care, we aim to empower survivors to find true freedom in Christ.

SDK Ministries was established by Lorenia Alvarenga in 2017 and officially registered as a limited company in 2019. It was founded in response to a divine calling to support women and children affected by domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual exploitation, and other forms of persecution. Our mission is firmly anchored in bringing healing, restoration, and hope through Christ to individuals who have endured severe trauma. Our vision is to create a Christian home that provides comprehensive, compassionate care in a secure setting, allowing survivors to begin their path to recovery. To address the significant demand for these services, we offer pastoral care, emotional support, legal guidance, and practical resources to both survivors and their families. In the UK, all of these services are available at no cost, as we are committed to sharing Christ’s love and grace without any barriers.

Our Services

As a public speaker, Lorenia has spoken at large church conferences and services. She dedicated over three years as a volunteer minister and interpreter at a London detention center, where she shared her testimony, skills, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2022, Lorenia led a significant church social project involving 60 volunteers, training more than 17 of them to assist survivors and their families. She has also prepared and equipped many leaders for evangelism in London, Great Britain, Turkey, Romania, and Brazil.

In addition to our work with survivors of abuse, we offer professional services to support individuals, organizations, and communities. The income from these services supports the ongoing mission of Sons and Daughters of the King.
