SDK Ministries Overview

Mission

To transform the lives of women and children ensnared in domestic abuse, sexual exploitation and human trafficking. Our goal is to support them in their journey toward healing, offering spiritual, emotional, and practical guidance, so they can live a life of freedom and have a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Vision

To establish a safe haven for the most vulnerable survivors of abuse, human trafficking, and all forms of exploitation and persecution, providing them with the tools to rebuild their lives in a nurturing and Christ-centered environment.

Our Approach

We take a holistic approach, creating a safe and supportive community where survivors can heal together. With the guidance of qualified professionals, they will develop new skills and gain independence, learning to live a life free from abuse and harm. Through mentorship, counseling, and spiritual care, we aim to empower survivors to find true freedom in Christ.

SDK Ministries, founded by Lorenia Alvarenga in 2017 and formally registered as a limited company in 2019, was born out of a divine calling to serve women and children impacted by domestic abuse, human trafficking, sexual exploitation or any other form of persecution. Our mission is deeply rooted in the desire to bring healing, restoration, and hope through Christ to those who have suffered unimaginable trauma. Our vision is to establish a Christian home that offers holistic, compassionate care, providing a safe environment where survivors can begin their journey of recovery. We aim to meet the overwhelming need for these services by offering pastoral care, emotional support, legal assistance, and practical resources to both survivors and their dependents. In the UK, all of these services are offered free of charge, as we believe in extending Christ’s love and grace to those in need without barriers.

I was very sad and helpless, when I call Lorenia, at SDK, I was given great emotional support. I can only say that I felt a great peace in my heart. Lorenia was attentive and dedicated to my case. She didn’t let me give up my fight. She explained the paths and process of getting out of a toxic relationship. When I explained that I needed a letter for the Court, Lorenia after a few days, sent a copy to me by mail too.
I met Lorenia back in 2017 and I was in a very abusive relationship. I received help and love in a non-judgmental way. I am not where I want to be yet, but definitely getting there.
I was diagnosed with Endometriosis and I’ve spent thousands of pounds on constellations therapy, none made the bleeding go away. L prayed for me and I was healed.
I have struggle with pornography and adultery and there was so much shame, I didn’t know what to do and since I met L. my life has turned around for good.
