Lorenia Alvarenga is a survivor of domestic abuse, sexual and financial exploitation, and human trafficking. She leverages her personal experiences and professional training in social care, obtained through e-learning and CPD certifications from the UK public sector. As a former NHS employee, Lorenia learned to navigate the system to help survivors. As a self-employed professional, she collaborated with councils, courts, police, and immigration services to support vulnerable individuals. She also serves as a member of the Lambeth Independent Advisory Group (IAG), contributing her experience and insight to support the local community. Through SDK Ministries, she has assisted numerous families and survivors in finding freedom from harm and abuse. The ministry’s community and social work earned two social project awards in 2022: First Place at Guia Londres and Fourth Place at Top of Minds International.
Lorenia is a prophetic minister, having studied under some of the world’s most prominent ministers. She is a sought-after speaker in various public sectors, governmental bodies, churches, and business settings, helping individuals discover their destiny and purpose in Christ.
As a public speaker, Lorenia has addressed large church conferences and services. She volunteered as a minister and interpreter in a London detention center for over three years, sharing her testimony, skills, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2022, Lorenia coordinated a major church social project with 60 volunteers, training over 17 volunteers to support survivors and their dependents. She has equipped numerous leaders in evangelism across London, Great Britain, Turkey, Romania, and Brazil.
